Women's Heart Health

Heart health at Windham Hospital is focused on the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of women with cardiovascular disease.

Cardiovascular disease is the number one cause of death in women in the United States- more than all cancers combined. Each year, almost 500,000 American women die suddenly of a heart attack, having had no previous symptoms.

Our program focuses on all aspects of cardiac care, providing comprehensive treatment for women with heart disease or those at high risk for heart disease.
