Auxiliary to Windham Hospital Awards Scholarships To Two Local Grads

Franklin resident Hannah N. Curry and Brooklyn’s Shelby Fundin are the 2015 recipients of the Anne L. Card Memorial Scholarship presented by the Auxiliary to Windham Hospital.
Curry, who graduated from Norwich Free Academy in June, will be attending Duquesne University in the fall, and plans to major in Physical Therapy. Fundin graduated from Woodstock Academy and will be attending Northeastern University and plans to study Biomedical Physics (a premedical path).
The scholarship, named in honor of the late Anne L. Card who was a 50-plus year member of the Auxiliary and a dedicated volunteer at the hospital, awards two $1,000 scholarships to students planning to enter a full-time course of study in medical related fields.
To be eligible, students must reside in one of the following towns served by the hospital: Andover, Ashford, Brooklyn, Canterbury, Chaplin, Colchester, Columbia, Coventry, Eastford, Franklin, Hampton, Hebron, Lebanon, Mansfield, Scotland, Sprague, Tolland, Willington, or Windham/Willimantic.
