Willimantic—Orthopedic surgeons Kevin Reagan, MD, and Biren V. Chokshi, MD, will host a free community education event on MAKO robotic arm-assisted technology for knee and hip procedures on Wednesday, May 31 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Windham Hospital Education Center at 112 Mansfield Ave. in Willimantic.
Windham Hospital is the only hospital in Northeastern Connecticut to offer hip and partial knee replacement procedures using the RIO® Robotic Arm Interactive Orthopedic System. RIO is a surgeon-controlled robotic arm system that enables accurate alignment and placement of implants.
