Windham Hospital and HHC Behavioral Health Network to hold forum on substance abuse Sept 29

Windham Hospital, Natchaug Hospital and the Hartford HealthCare Behavioral Health Network are hosting a forum entitled, “The Overdose EPIDEMIC: A community conversation on K2, heroin and prescription drug abuse,” on Tuesday, Sept. 29 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Betty Tipton Room at Eastern Connecticut State University in Willimantic.

The panel discussion will focus on the current substance abuse problem in the Windham region, the resources available and how the community can work together to improve the situation. The forum will include medical experts, clinicians, advocates and first responders from Windham and Natchaug Hospitals, Perception Programs and the Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR).
